We’ll, it’s too often you have a month left in the season and your team is already sitting at 90 wins but that’s what happens when ownership dismantles what was already a bad team. It’s hard to believe this is the same club that went to a World Series six years ago. Still, some bad moves money wise and then lame duck ownership is a tough combination to kick.
Yesterday the Astros won a nice one, 2-0. J. A. Happ pitched seven shutout innings and he gave up just three hits and a walk with six strikeouts. Melancon pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his 16th save of the season
Carlos Lee had a single and a double in the win. Angel Sanchez went two for four and he scored a run.
Next up are the Brewers. Zach Greinke pitches in the opener so that’ll at least be fun to watch. Lucas Harrell gets the ball for the Astros. One more month to go until we can start building towards 2012.
