Craig is the greatest Astro of all time- he exemplifies what it means to be an Astro. Maybe because Houston is such a working-class city do we appreciate those players who are willing to put in the extra amount of work or “grind” for the greater good. I read another article where Berkman said that younger players find it hard to identify with Biggio, or that Craig is a hard person to get close to. It is sad for me to think that our young talent may be sitting next to the greatest role model they will ever know and miss the opportunity because he doesn’t chat with them on MySpace or participate in tea-parties. From miles away in my living room or from the cheap seats I have seen the sacrifices Craig has made for us and our city. I never had to meet the man to be inspired by him- he is the heart of Houston.
